1. Submit a Puppy Application

2. Schedule a Interview

This conversation is an important step where we discuss:
- Your experience with the breed
- Household structure and lifestyle
- Goals for your future dog
- Health testing Practices at Golden RIdge
- How puppies are raised at Golden Ridge
We take this time to ensure our program aligns with what you are looking for.
3. Approval & Reservation or Waiting List
Once approved, a $500- $1,000 reservation fee secures your place on a current or upcoming litter.
Reservations are honored in the order they are received. Availability is limited and can shift as new reservations are placed.
4. Litter Updates & Development
From birth through development, puppies are raised in our home with intentional structure and early exposure.
We focus on:
- Stability and confidence
- Environmental exposure
- Early engagement and problem-solving
Families receive updates as the litter progresses.
5. Puppy Selection
Puppy selections take place around 7 weeks of age.
Selection is guided based on:
- Temperament
- Structure
- Suitability for your home and goals
Our role is to help ensure each puppy is placed where they will thrive long-term.

6. Going Home
Puppies go home between 8–9 weeks of age with:
- Age-appropriate vaccinations
- Documented Health Records
- Microchip registration
- Puppy starter guidance
We provide continued support as your puppy transitions into your home.

A Thoughtful Approach
A tremendous amount of planning, knowledge, and care goes into every litter. Our process reflects that commitment.
We are looking for families who value:

Waiting List:
Estimated Duration: 6 to 12 Months.
Collaboratively decided to plan a future delightful litter of German Shepherd puppies. Many prospective owners have specific criteria to ensure they find the perfect match for their new companion. This is the planning phase
These list are not by number but by detail of the best suited match. Please know that details such as Sex, Coat type, Purpose are essential to knowing which list is better suited.Â
Reserved List:
Estimated Duration: Approximately 1 to 6 months.
A limited number of customers will be accepted for each upcoming litter. A puppy will be reserved. This relationship will evolve as we engage through provided updates regarding the development of the litters.
Pricing varies by litter with reflections of the accomplishments/credentials of each pairing, including health testing, working and show titles, and proven pedigree.
The commitment is not to produce as many German Shepherds as possible at the lowest possible price. It is to be highly selective about the dogs I breed, the care and time I invest, the environment I provide, and the qualities I choose to carry forward. Not every dog we raise in our family will become part of my breeding program. Years of investment do not outweigh the responsibility to the future of the breed. There are many places to cut costs. My standards are not one of them.
