Yupp exhibits a large, powerful, and well-proportioned build. His coat is dry and firm, showcasing expressive characteristics, while the coloration features excellent pigmentation with a significant amount of black. The overall conformation is very good, highlighting a strong and expressive head with an excellent mask. The body lines are attractive, with good front and rear angulation, allowing for impressive movement characterized by a powerful rear and effective forward approach.
The assessment by Judge Horst Kaim noted the dog’s natural and benign demeanor during the unselfconsciousness ID check, dentition check, and measurement on the platform. Socially, the dog maintains a good bond with its handler, interacts confidently with groups, and is good-natured when responding to strange dogs.
In terms of sound sensitivity, the canine remains unfazed by the sound of a chainsaw, checking the origin independently, and is unimpressed and neutral to gunshot sensitivity. The dog’s play instinct and predatory drive are sufficiently pronounced when playing with the handler, and it shows strong and persistent engagement when playing with an assistant.
Under pressure, the canine’s motor function remains pronounced, with only a short response to noises. It continues to engage in play with the handler. Finally, the dog’s character traits include stability and relaxation while isolated, and it maintains friendly contact during encounters.
Yupp is everything we hoped and dreamed of for a well-balanced German Shepherd dog for families looking for companionship to working roles. He is the perfect addition to our family & program and we are proud to have a truly wonderful dog like him to share not just his beauty but the very best part his temperament with future generations.
